Raja & the Whales was founded in 2009 by a local family in Mirissa, Sri Lanka.
The family has a big love for the sea born from their close association with it from early childhood. Life on the ocean has given them a deep-rooted love of nature, a strong sense of conservation and the realisation of the need to protect Earth’s precious wildlife.
Raja & the whales’ captains and crew members are all family members and friends. You will experience the best service on board and the crew will be happy to share their profound knowledge of the marine wildlife of the Indian Ocean with you.
It goes without saying that safety at sea is one of Raja & the Whales’ top priorities. The crew members are officially qualified in life-saving, fire-fighting and first-aid.
